75℃ Thermal Stability / Self-Heating Substance Tester
This instrument determines whether a substance will undergo oxidative self-heating by exposing it to air at 100 °C, 120 °C, or 140 °C inside cubic wire-mesh containers with side lengths of 25 mm or 100 mm. It can also evaluate the high-temperature stability of substances to ascertain if they are too dangerous to transport. The instrument detects self-heating by maintaining the sample at 75°C for 48 hours. By monitoring the temperature difference between the test sample and an inert reference, it establishes whether the sample releases heat at 75 °C. The method is applicable to explosives, desensitized explosives, self-reactive substances, and organic peroxides.
