Zeal Instruments and Young Instruments Present End-to-End Lithium Battery Thermal Safety Portfolio at CIBF 2026
Zeal Instruments and Young Instruments exhibited at the 18th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2026) in Shenzhen, presenting a comprehensive thermal safety assessment portfolio for lithium-ion batteries to global customers.
Held under the theme “Connecting the World · Empowering Green · Driving the Future,” CIBF 2026 brought together over 3,000 exhibitors across 300,000 square meters of exhibition space, spotlighting innovations in power batteries, energy storage cells, 3C batteries, and the full industry chain.


The companies’ integrated solution spans intrinsic safety research at the material level through cell-level application safety evaluation. The portfolio features four core instruments: the BAC Series Large Battery Adiabatic Calorimeters, the Small Battery Adiabatic Calorimeter BAC-200AE, the Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC-40AE/40BE, and the Micro Continuous Closed-Cup Flash Point Tester FP CC-420AE. Small Battery Adiabatic Calorimeter BAC-200AE
The BAC-200AE is a compact, sealed adiabatic calorimeter designed for battery material R&D and cell engineering teams. It accommodates single cells up to 240 mm in length and serves as a closed-loop safety verification platform. Users can perform adiabatic thermal runaway testing, gas generation analysis, material thermal stability assessment, and thermal management parameter determination—bridging material intrinsic safety and cell application safety.
BAC Series Large Battery Adiabatic Calorimeters
Engineered for large-format cells and small modules from 100 mm to 1,500 mm in length, the BAC Series supports Heat-Wait-Search (HWS), specific heat capacity, charge/discharge calorimetry, and differential temperature baseline modes. The systems comply with GB/T 36276-2023 “Adiabatic Temperature Rise Characteristics” requirements for power-storage lithium-ion batteries. They enable thermal, electrical, and mechanical abuse testing, visual/infrared imaging, thermal runaway gas analysis, and charge/discharge heat generation measurement—providing critical data such as thermal runaway characteristic parameters, adiabatic temperature rise curves, specific heat capacity, charge/discharge heat power and total heat output, and pressure rise rates for safety validation and thermal management development.
Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC-40AE/40BE
Based on tower-type heat flux technology, the DSC-40AE/40BE precisely monitors heat flow differences between sample and reference under programmed temperature control. It is optimized for high-precision thermal analysis of milligram-scale samples.
Micro Continuous Closed-Cup Flash Point Tester FP CC-420AE
The FP CC-420AE is a specialized combustion hazard characterization instrument based on the continuous closed-cup method. It delivers precise closed-cup flash point determination for electrolytes, petroleum products, coatings, fragrances, wood preservative oils, and other flammable liquids.
