Corrosivity to Metals Tester
This instrument is designed to determine the corrosivity to metals of liquids and solids that may become liquid during transport. Standard-sized metal specimens are immersed in the test substance at a specified temperature and maintained under isothermal conditions. The corrosion rate is calculated from the measured mass loss rate. The test data provides an essential basis for Class 8 corrosive hazardous goods classification, transport packaging material selection, hazardous waste corrosivity identification, and pesticide packaging material suitability assessment.
