How it works?
The instrument operates in a near-adiabatic environment to track self-heating behavior during controlled heating. During a test, it continuously records sample temperature, pressure, and heat-release related signals, helping users determine exothermic onset behavior and evaluate thermal hazard risks for reactive systems.
The instrument supports multiple test modes:
- Constant-Rate Scanning Mode: screens onset behavior and basic thermal characteristics.
- Isothermal Mode: evaluates stability at a fixed temperature over time.
- HWS (Heat–Wait–Search) Mode: follows self-heating under near-adiabatic conditions and supports thermokinetic analysis.
